Jargon buster

For someone who has never had formal employment before, a contract of employment can be quite an alien document, with words or phrases that don’t make much sense. To help tackle this problem we have worked with 16-24 year olds to identify what some of these confusing words or phrases are and built a jargon buster, which provides definitions and further information about the less-well-known phrases that commonly appear in contracts of employment. This jargon buster can form part of your welcome pack sent out to new starters.

For your convenience this document is available in both PDF and editable word format.
